The LARGE portable lathe is being
set-up to machine a screening drum
in Canada

The Drum is 20' in Diameter and
over 60' in length.

Our laser tracker was used to align the two lathe bearing supports so that they are co-linear

Spiders are installed on the inside to support the drum and provide a point of rotation.

The man in the Bosons chair is using the Laser Tracker to align the
drum to the axis of rotation of the lathe.

The model was created so that we could "fit" the lathe and the spiders
to the drum here in Utah before traveling to Canada.
